ENERGY UNION making your home warmer, more energy efficient and cheaper to heat

Would you like to make your home warmer, more energy efficient and cheaper to heat while also reducing your environmental impact?

Retrofitting your home is the answer but this can expensive even with grant support. That’s why Energy Hub have teamed up with Credit Unions in Cork to create Energy Union a One-Stop-Shop for retrofitting your home.

Energy Union was launched at a public event at the Commons Hotel Cork on the 9th of October 2019

Energy Union is a collection of community based organisations working together to help people upgrade their homes to make them more energy efficient. Energy Hub will advise on suitable SEAI registered contractors, apply for grants on your behalf and the Credit Union can provide a green loan with lower interest rate if required to pay the balance.

The process is simple. To get started simply click on your local participating credit union on the Energy Union website and fill out the expression of Interest form. An Energy Hub team member will then contact you shortly to discuss your home.

Energy Union gives homeowners access to 3 different SEAI grants

  1. Better energy homes grant
  2. Better energy warmer homes scheme
  3. Community Energy Grant

We are currently working with the following Credit Unions in Cork:

Ballincollig, Bishopstown, Glanmire, Gurranabraher, St. Michaels, Synergy and Youghal.
